August 21, 2009:
BIFE2009 proceedings have entered into IEEE eXplore and
INSPEC, please see

For EI Compendex and ISTP, it may take 6-12 months for
indexing in terms of IEEE CS arrangement. Once indexing
services are provided, we will post them in the conference
website.

August 9, 2009:
BIFE2009 has been closed successfully, the conference
organizer thanks all participants to support the conference.
The next conference (BIFE2010) will be held in Hong Kong on
August 13-15, 2010. There are some conference pictures for

Due to paper
quality and page limit, accepted papers are categorized as
regular paper (5 pages) and short paper (4 page). All
revised accepted papers will be included into the conference
proceedings and cited by
ISTP and
EI if authors
revise their papers carefully (This condition is very
important for indexing). For the requirement of IEEE CS
AuthorKit, 3-page short paper should
be 4-page short paper. Please accord with the
conference notification from the conference organizers.

March 30, 2009:
The
IEEE CS Press
has assigned an Online Author Kit to BIFE 2009, the web
address of Online Author Kit is shown as follows:

Please
accepted authors use the IEEE CS template and
read the instruction carefully
to format their paper and generate PDF file via PDF eXpress
tool. Then send the PDF file to IEEE CS press in Step 8. In
addition, please send the copyright form to IEEE CS before
April 17, 2009.
Special Attention for Accepted
Authors: There are three main conditions or steps
for final publication: (1) Revise your
paper considering the reviewing comments and IEEE CS
template, submit the revised version to IEEE CS press before
April 17, 2009. Please
strictly use the template to format your paper, otherwise
your paper will be requested to be re-formatted. If
reformatted layout is satisfied, the IEEE CS production
editor will remove your paper from the conference
proceedings; (2)
Submit the e-Copyright Form (eCF)
to IEEE CS press before April 17,
2009; (3)
Complete registration before
April 25, 2009. Notice: If
you do not complete the three steps before the deadline,
your paper will be rejected automatically and your paper
will be removed from the accepted paper list.
All
accepted papers including regular papers (5 pages) and short
papers (4 pages) will be
included into the IEEE CS proceedings, which will be cited
by EI and ISTP. Furthermore, besides the difference of page
limits, there are no other differences among the three
categories of accepted papers. In the IEEE conference
proceedings, we will not make any marks for short papers and
regular papers. In addition, in the IEEE CS Author Kit
webpage, you can ignore the requirement for 3-page short
paper and you can use 4-page short paper.

March 30, 2009:
The acceptance or rejection
notification of the BIFE2009 conference has been sent to
authors on the mid-night of March 30, 2009. This year, we
received about 590 submissions (including two main tracks
and 4 workshops or special sessions) from 14 countries and
regions and our acceptance rate is about 33%. Our policy is
to guarantee the quality of the papers while at the same
time to encourage more people to participate in the
conference. Authors that have not received any notification
can contact with us:

February 27, 2009:
Due to some
problems about online submission system, the organizing
committee of BIFE 2009 decided to extend the deadline to
March 10, 2009.
Accordingly, the review notification will also be
extended to March 30, 2009. Please
see the new deadline. The
authors who did not submit their papers to the online
submission system can use this extended time period to
submit their papers. Note that March 10 is a hard line and
there are not any extension after March 10, 2009.
