Instruction for Authors

General Instructions

The International Journal of Computational Science only publishes articles of the highest quality. Submissions will be evaluated on their originality and significance. When authors decide to submit an article to this journal for possible publication, their submissions indicate that the work described in their paper should not have been previously published, or be under consideration for publication elsewhere, in the same or similar form. The journal  invites submissions in all areas of Computational Science. Prospective authors are strongly urged to communicate with Managing Editor: Dr. Lean Yu, Email: ijcseditor@gmail.com.

Style

Paper manuscript must strictly follow the style files given in the following templates or samples:

Word Template is available here: IJCS-Word.doc  (Preferably)

LaTeX style and sample files are available here: IJCS-Latex.zip or IJCS-Latex.rar

Please send a PDF file of your manuscript to us together with the word or LaTex file. The paper should be typeset in black and white or grayscale, including the figures.

Length

In order to speedup the review process, the International Journal of Computational Science only publishes original, previously unpublished research results in the field of Computational Science. Because the journal emphasizes on creative research and rapid publication, paper manuscript should  therefore not exceed 30 typeset, printed pages for full (research) papers and 15 pages for demo, short or position papers, Extra pages beyond this limitation will be charged at the cost of EUR100 per page.

Sequence of Manuscript

Generally the sequence of paper manuscript should follow the order of the above templates or sample style files. Basically, the order of paper manuscript is: title of article, authors' names, authors' institutional affiliations, abstract (100-200 words suitable for abstracting services), list of symbols and abbreviations (if necessary), main text, acknowledgements (if necessary), numbered list of references, biographical sketch. Figures and tables should insert into the suitable positions of main text.

Paper Acceptance

The final decision on publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief upon recommendation of independent reviewers. Once the manuscript is accepted for publication in International Journal of Computational Science, it must not be published elsewhere without the permission of the editorial board.

Copyright

Each manuscript must be accompanied by a statement that it has been neither published nor submitted for publication, in whole or in part, either in a serial, professional journal or as a part in a book which is formally published and made available to the public. For the mutual benefit and protection of authors and publishers it is necessary that authors provide formal written consent to transfer of copyright (Copyright Form: PDF) before publication of the work. When the copyright form is signed by all authors, authors are kindly required to scan the signed form and send it to the following email box: editorial@gip.hk or gipinfo80@gmail.com.

Proofs

Proofs will be sent to the corresponding author and should be returned with one week of receipt. Corrections should be restricted to typesetting errors; any other corrections may be charged to the authors. Authors are advised to check their proofs very carefully before return, since the inclusion of late corrections cannot be acceptable. Corrected proofs are to be returned to the publishers.

Publication Cost

Authors of accepted papers are requested to arrange page charges of their papers at the rate of EUR30 per page, which will be invoiced, through the author, to the author's company, institute, or agency. Two full periodical copies including all articles in one issue are mailed to the authors gratis. Additional sets of periodical copies or reprints may be ordered at the time of proof correction. Reprints are not gratis, authors can order them via  Reprints Order Form.
