General Instructions

The International journal of Optimization: Theory, Methods and Applications only publishes articles of the highest quality on the latest developments in optimization, such as linear, nonlinear, stochastic, multiobjective and fractional programming, varational and control theory, game theory. Among the areas of application covered are mathematical economics, mathematical physics and biology, and other subjects. The journal also publishes conference proceedings, book reviews and announcements. Submission will be evaluated on their originality and significance. The journal invites submissions in all areas of Optimization. Prospective authors are strongly urged to communicate with Managing Editor: Dr. Shashi Kant Mishra, Email: ijotma@gmail.com; website: http://www.gip.hk/ijotma. All article submissions must be sent in an electronic form to the managing editor or any one of the Associate Editors close to their area of research.
    Submitted articles should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submitted articles should report original, previously unpublished research results including theoretical or computational findings.
　

Style

Paper manuscript must strictly follow the style files given in the following templates or samples:

Please send a PDF file of your manuscript to us together with the word or LaTex file. The paper should be typeset in black and white or grayscale, including the figures.

Requirements and Procedures of Handling Submissions

International Journal of Optimization: theory, methods and Applications considers all manuscripts on the strict condition that they have been submitted only to International Journal of Optimization: theory, methods and Applications, that they have not been published already, nor are they under consideration for publication or in press elsewhere. Authors who fail to adhere to this condition will be charged with all costs which International Journal of Optimization: theory, method and applications incurs and their papers will not be published.
Contribution to International Journal of Optimization: Theory, methods and Applications must report original research and will be subjected to review by referees at the discretion of the Managing Editor/ An Associate Editor/ An Editorial member.
     Only papers written in a lucid, expository style will be eligible for publication. Manuscripts written in the English language only will be accepted for publication.
     Authors may suggest an associate editor and six referees with full details appropriate for the paper. However, the Managing Editor/ Associate Editor will decide the referees for a submitted paper.
　

Preparation of Manuscript

Manuscripts prepared using Word or LaTex are welcome. The manuscript will be edited according to the style of the journal, and authors must read the proofs carefully.
     

      (1) Number each page. The title page (p. 1) should contain the article title, author’s names and complete affiliations, footnotes to the title (indicated by superscript 1, 2, 3) and the address for the manuscript correspondence (including e-mail address and telephone and fax numbers).

      (2) Tables. Tables should be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals in order of appearance in the text. Type each table double-spaced on a separate page with a short descriptive title typed directly above and with essential footnotes below.

       (3) Equations. Place equation numbers in parentheses at the right margin. Reference to equation should use the form “(3)”.

       (4) References. References to the literature should be cited the text by Arabic numbers between square brackets, as [1], [1, 2], [1, Theorem 1.5], etc, and listed in numerical order at the end. More details can see the above templates.

Paper Acceptance

The final decision on publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor upon recommendation of associate editors and independent reviewers. Once the manuscript is accepted for publication in International Journal of Optimization: Theory, Methods and Applications, it must not be published elsewhere without the permission of the editorial board. 

Copyright

Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to transfer copyright (Copyright Form: WORD, PDF) before publication of the work. This transfer will ensure the widest possible dissemination of information. A letter will be sent to the corresponding author confirming receipt of the manuscript. A form facilitating transfer of copyright will be provided after acceptance. When the copyright form is signed by all authors, authors are kindly required to scan the signed form and send it to the publisher via following email box: editorial@gip.hk.
If material from other copyrighted works is included, the author(s) must obtain written permission from the copyright owners and credit the source(s) in the article.
　

Proofs

Proofs will be sent to the corresponding author and should be returned within one week Corrections should be restricted to typesetting errors; any other corrections with large paragraphs may be charged to the authors. Authors are advised to check their proofs very carefully before return, since the inclusion of late corrections cannot be acceptable. Corrected proofs are to be returned to the publishers.

Publication Cost

Authors of accepted papers are requested to arrange page charges of their papers at the rate of EUR30 per page, which will be invoiced, through the author, to the author's company, institute, or agency. Two full periodical copies including all articles in one issue are mailed to the authors gratis. Page charges are mandatory and omitted ONLY when it will be highly recommended by Editor-in-Chief to us for publication. Additional sets of periodical copies or reprints may be ordered at the time of proof correction. Reprints are not gratis, authors can order them via  Reprints Order Form.
